Blood Orange Cold IPA

Brewed with a lager-esque grain bill, including 2-Row and Pilsner malts, this beer employs a cold-fermenting lager yeast strain — hence the name, Cold IPA. However, it’s actually fermented a bit warmer than usual for a lager at 65 degrees, making it a hybrid style that still manages to earn its A (for ale). And this is why you better not even think of calling it an IPL.

Our 2nd Cold IPA is hopped aggressively with a blend of Columbus, Amarillo, Mosaic, and Citra — both in the whirlpool and dry-hopped. And we even threw in some blood orange puree during fermentation, as you may have guessed by the name.

Sensory:  Light in body with a clean, crisp finish. Dry yet not overly bitter. Delivers all the West Coast hop character you want — citrus zest, ruby red grapefruit, dank resin — topped off with a big ol’ juicy bite of blood orange.
